MUSIC
-
For over two decades, Maryland-born musician George Ellsworth has been a staple of the Northern Minnesota music scene wearing many hats and spreading his experiences and influences far and wide. As an in-demand bassist and keyboardist he’s performed and recorded with a myriad of beloved Twin Ports acts, from James And Younger to The Brushstrokes to Todd Eckart to Snöbarn to Woodblind. As a songwriter and composer he’s contributed songs and scores to two independent films and works for local theater. He revels in finding the common and complementary elements of disparate genres and musical disciplines and building something unique and interesting from what lies at the meeting point.

Inga Entheos is a Duluth based band sharing original music with a mix of belty vocals, classical guitar, and a driving, grooving rhythm section. “Entheos” is a Greek term for “divinely inspired to create.” With this intention, the lyrics and ambience of the music create a complex sound and thought process aiming to highlight unity and self expression.
Front woman, Inga Weis, has crafted the current repertoire over the last four years. With a Nordic inspired blend of rock and folk, Inga Entheos seeks to steward a fun-loving and heart-felt musical landscape that is open to all ages. Their aim is to uplift with a cathartic musical language that will encourage connection and creativity.

Bringing you many a tasty jam from bands like Lettuce and Ghost Note, we are Duluth's Gochujang! We aim to satisfy your musical cravings and make you come back for more mouthwatering riffs and blazing horn lines. Utilizing the talents of some of Duluth's premium funk players, Gochujang is guaranteed to hit the spot.
Come for the sweet, stay for the spicy.

MOXEN is a group of musicians who found each other by attending shows in the Duluth music scene, who bonded over their shared love of music. Since the formation of the band they have been writing complex alternative rock music and playing shows all across Minnesota.
LIVE & COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT ARTISTS
-
Cherry Koch works her studio in Duluth Minnesota where she produces paintings, sculptures, and other mixed media creations. Cherry has accumulated a long history of non-traditional experience, including warehouse art exhibits and underground fashion shows.
Despite living in a city with no lack of inspiring vistas, you won’t find landscapes inside of her sketchbooks. People, emotions, and relationships are what motivates Cherry’s work. Her narrative infused portraits are “love letters” to her friends, as she creates dreamy worlds for them to exist in eternally.

JōSif Nieto, Creative Explorer
JōSif was born August 10, 1994 in El Paso, TX. He attended El Paso Community College pursuing an Associates of Applied Science in Graphic Design before transferring to La Sierra University in Southern California receiving his Bachelors of Arts in Art and Design in 2022.
JōSif believes in the power of communication and storytelling through his printmaking and public works as Nina Simone once said, “How can you be an Artist and not reflect the times.”
For On the Record’s second anniversary event JōSif wants to screen print with the community onto provided paper as well as invite them to bring their own blank shirts and cloth to be printed on, illustrating how even the most common items can become a medium for expression and conversation. -
As a multimedia artist with a background in painting, drawing, ceramics, felting, and crochet, Ayana Greene has become a recognizable face within the Duluth arts community - particularly for her work in hosting open-participation collaborative paintings during Saltydog’s Monday night residency at Bent Paddle. Ayana hopes to bring the same spirit of community and creativity to On The Record’s two-year anniversary celebration, inviting attendees to contribute to a collective work of art.
